At the outset, we extend a warm welcome to our new Joint Secretary, Shri Anbalagan P., IAS, who brings with him a treasure of administrative experience and a track record of impactful governance. His pioneering initiatives in Chhattisgarh, particularly in driving inclusive development and strengthening institutional frameworks at the grassroots, are a testament to his dynamic leadership. We are confident that under his stewardship, the Agri Infra Fund (AIF) will scale newer heights. Even more encouraging is the Q1 performance of FY 2025, with total sanctions reaching ₹4,914 crore, up by 46% from ₹3,374 crore in the same period last year. This performance clearly reflects the unwavering commitment.
and dynamism of our Banking Partners, State Governments, and stakeholders across the ecosystem. With hardly three quarters left to achieve the milestone of ₹1 lakh crore disbursements by March 2026, the need of the hour is to consolidate momentum and sharpen focus- together we can and must reach the target. The month of June witnessed a remarkable surge in AIF sanctions, clocking ₹2,751 crore, a steep 61% growth over last year’s ₹1,708 crore. A key area that now demands urgent attention is geo-tagging of infrastructure units sanctioned
Senior officials at the Ministry have underlined its criticality for transparency and effective monitoring. Geo-tagging not only strengthens accountability but also enables real-time visibility and mapping of assets across the country that helps taking prudent credit decision. With assurances received from the State-level PMUs, we are committed to clearing the current pendency reduced it to at least 30,000 geo-tagged units by 15th of this month. We count on the proactive support of Banks as well to reach this goal.
